William James Elson, AKA "Billy The Kid" is a dynamic Singer/Songwriter born and raised in Lockport NY with the drive and material to do some really big things. Although Billy discovered his love for music at an early age, he only began to realize it was his calling when (in 1996, two years after receiving Christ) a friend of his was struck and nearly killed by a drunk driver. The presence of God’s love vehemently protected Billy throughout this very difficult time. An indescribable faith, (regardless of the situation) radically compelled him to write the first of many great songs.

Throughout the years, Billy has been involved in everything from television and radio to concerts and theme parks. Billy has also been asked to share his gift at events such as weddings, funerals, conventions, benefits and of course, many churches. Recently, he decided to accelerate his efforts in order　to pursue a life-long dream of becoming a successful, Singer/Songwriter. In November of 2009, Billy was miraculously launched in that direction when he and　his humble Sound Man (Lorne Close ) met and began collaborating with Award Winning Songwriter, Producer Greg Gilmore. The initial result of their combined talent continues to open several doors of opportunity, for which they are truly grateful.

Billy’s much anticipated CD "Divine Providence" will be released in December of 2010 as part of a multi-strategy promotional blitz. Their first single, "You Can Go On" is an uplifting piece, dedicated to his friend and Promoter Chris Snow. His message of hope extends to all those who have lost hope. Like so many of Billy’s songs, this inspirational anthem has already become a source of encouragement for as many who allow this prayerful intercessor to speak the grace of God’s love into their lives. The scope of Billy’s work is an exponential component of an undying faith and an honest to goodness reflection of who his is in Christ. God has richly blessed Billy with an anointing that changes lives. Substance and lyrical reach are the trademark of this true Singer/Songwriter but an uncovered love for God and people, spiritedly define him.

Billy's band - aptly named Providence - consists of cliff Cline on Lead Guitar, Aaron Greenwald on Bass, Aaron Young on Drums, Bob Young on Congas and Billy Elson as the frontman, singer/songwriter and producer.
